Elderly stars slide down the morning sky
Slipping away to find a place to die
I wonder when the night will reach it's end
The sleep is not my friend

Finders Keepers

Had a lovely time last Saturday visiting the Syd Finders Keepers markets with these 2 chicks.

There was a lot of talent and a lot of pretty things to see and buy.

Here's some of the things I bought with my limited amount of spending money..

This print by Flossy P

This owl print by Andrea Smith

& these cute little sparrow earrings from pigeonhole's stall.

I also got to hear the band Charlie Mayfair. They where quite amazing and had
us mesmerised for their set. We then all purchased their ep "watch my hands"
and now I cannot stop listening to it. You can hear them here.

Charlie Mayfair are a conglomeration of musical experiences: jazz educations jostle up against love affairs
with Appalachian folk, and voices lifted in rapturous harmony mingle with acoustic guitar. Think Joni Mitchell
eating fairy bread made by Fleetwood Mac served at Arcade Fire’s birthday party while Glen Hansard
slow dances to The Beatles...

"Watch my hands as they shake See my eyes, they won't wake And I wonder."

Into the Wild

I watched the film Into the Wild yesterday and it really got to me, it's one of those films that stay's with you a long time. A film you can learn and be inspired from. It's based on a true story and I want to read the book very soon as well. If you havn't seen it already, you definitely should!
The film also has an amazing soundtrack by eddie vedder which I can't stop listening to.Here is just one of the amazing songs:

"Two years he walks the earth. No phone, no pool, no pets, no cigarettes. Ultimate freedom. An extremist. An aesthetic voyager whose home is the road. Escaped from Atlanta. Thou shalt not return, 'cause "the West is the best." And now after two rambling years comes the final and greatest adventure. The climactic battle to kill the false being within and victoriously conclude the spiritual pilgrimage. Ten days and nights of freight trains and hitchhiking bring him to the Great White North. No longer to be poisoned by civilization he flees, and walks alone upon the land to become lost in the wild." - Chris Maccandles May 1992
